A former state asylum and the location
of the movie Session 9, Danvers State Hospital has the reputation of being one of the most haunted locations in the country.
An imposing presence, this Kirkbride
building has a mystique that has captured the imagination of many.
We have gone on a few investigations
there dating back two years. It is now being developed into condos and only 1/3rd of the structure remains. Its a sad relic,
only a shadow of its former glory. There is an incredable energy there. One can only wonder what will happen with the condos
in the future.
One visit two years ago, there was an
open door that was to tempting to ignore. The door was to what was once a solarium. Being unprepared for going inside the
building, not having flashlights, masks and such we only entered partway. The photos taken were more to illuminate the room
more than anything. We were unprepared for this anomaly. This photo was taken in pitch dark with no light source coming from
anywhere. I have no explaination for the "haze" on the right hand side.
The other photos have "orbs", but they are
dust motes. I posted them more for interest sake.
